OUR STORY

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Kool Kidz Read™ is a race, gender, and socially acceptable book club, targeting ages 4 to 8 years old or grades Pre-K through Third.

We're a kid-led, read-aloud community that meets monthly and offers the added plus of an interactive activity, supporting the featured literature.

Creating a safe space for budding bookworms and encouraging and inspiring future leaders to acknowledge their love of learning and craving for socialization, is our clear mission.

Members are referred to as “Leaders” to promote personal positive thinking.

Our goal is to provide a productive space for leaders, where they feel comfortable expressing themselves without judgment.

OUR FOUNDER

Hollis E. Thomas, Founder and Visionary

Hollis E. Thomas is a wife, mother, and philanthropist with over 20 years of experience in business management, and 10 years of experience leading non-profit organizations focused on the advancement of women, children, and families. With a specialization in business planning, execution, and relationship building, she is a strategic thinker that takes pride in building teams focused on success. In 2021, Hollis founded an organization focused on developing tomorrow’s leaders by directly focusing on early learners; Kool Kidz Read ™.  Considering the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic on her own young child, she created a community that combines a love of reading and socialization, with age-appropriate leadership training. Since its development, Kool Kidz Read ™ has become a fast-growing, nationally recognized leadership training resource for grades Pre-K through Third grade, currently serving members across states in the Midwest, North, and Southeast. Programming is meant to encourage and inspire tomorrow's leaders, by acknowledging their love of learning and craving for community.
